Graham Fellows brings new show to Scarborough

There’s still time to get tickets to catch a unique performance by the man who gave us Jilted John and John Shuttleworth when he comes to Scarborough next month. Graham Fellows will be performing his brand new show, “Completely out of Character” at Scarborough Spa Theatre on February 10th at 8pm. Graham has been the man behind radio and TV comedy creation John Shuttleworth for more than 25 years. He was also Jilted John, the singer of the hit song of the same name, in 1978. In this new show, Graham will step out from behind Shuttleworth’s keyboard to sing his own brand of “revelatory, humorous and quirky still, sometimes sad” songs. He will talk about Shuttleworth as well as his other comic characters, plus his pivotal acting role on Coronation Street, and becoming a teenage pop star as Jilted John. He promises to share the tale of the night jazz legend, George Melly broke into Graham's bedsit, and of the time he bought a packet of bread sauce with a famous Hollywood actor, poignantly recalled in the ballad, 'Mark Rylance Was My Lodger'. Tickets for ‘Completely out of Character’ are available now via the Scarborough Spa website. The show has been brought to the town by Scarborough arts development agency Create, as part of its role in facilitating and promoting the arts around the area.
